Service Description

The 2026 FVS Christmas Hong Kong International Fencing Camp will take place from December 28, 2026 to January 1, 2027 at Sha Tin College, Hong Kong, with training groups for Épée and Foil. Designed for fencers aged 9–18 with systematic training experience, the camp brings together world-class coaching, high-level sparring, tactical development, sports psychology, and competition-focused training in one intensive program. The Épée program will be led by Gennady Tyshler, President of the FIE Coaches Council and an internationally renowned fencing coach and educator. The Foil program will be led by Andrea Borella, 1984 Olympic Team Gold Medalist, 1986 Individual World Champion, and FIE Hall of Fame member. Throughout the camp, athletes will receive direct instruction, technical correction, tactical guidance, and live-bout feedback from the head coaches. Participants will also train and spar with champion-level athletes, university fencers, and experienced competitors from Hong Kong. The training follows a continuous cycle of instruction, sparring, analysis, targeted adjustment, and re-testing, helping athletes understand not only how to execute techniques, but also when and why to use them in competition. Sports psychology support will be integrated into the program, focusing on pre-competition preparation, pressure management, recovery after mistakes, focus, and critical-point performance. Athletes will be grouped by weapon, age, and training level to create an appropriate and challenging environment, with the goal of improving technical execution, tactical awareness, adaptability, decision-making, and overall competition performance.
